Frances and I snuck into the brand new million-gallon steel water tank on the hill above our little, central-coast California town in the middle of the night. No water yet, the manhole on the side still open for workman access and airing out the epoxy paint that was still curing inside. We brought flashlights, video camera, musical instruments and a digital recorder. The 45-second echo was astounding. A short sample of that recording is used here. [Tim]
